BASF Walltite

BASF WALLTITE foam insulation is designed for external walls, floors, roofs and soffits and provides a seamless airtight insulation solution. Unlike conventional insulation materials, WALLTITE is spray applied by a nationwide network of trained and accredited BASF Foam Master contractors. With a minimal change in the formulation WALLTITE foam can also be used for cavity wall insulation and stabilisation as well as insulation and weatherproofing of roofs externally.

WALLTITE spray foam makes a significant contribution to a comfortable indoor environment for building occupiers by creating a draft free climate and reducing the overall rate of heat loss from a building. 

WALLTITE spray insulation provides the building owner with superior performance due to the combination of insulation and complete airtightness.

WALLTITE is a continuous spray foam that is fast to apply and quick to cure, leaving a minimal amount of surface area without insulation. The result is an airtight building envelope of low permeability, without the need for supplementary material.
The closed cell structure of the WALLTITE polyurethane foam helps control the movement of vapour and moisture throughout the building, reducing the risk of condensation and mould. WALLTITE is sustainable over the life span of the building and can even prolong the buildings life as it protects against premature deterioration of building materials.

Walltite Existing Pitched Roof Insulation 

WALLTITE spray foam insulation can be applied directly onto the underside of existing slate or tiled roofs where a roofing membrane is absent. The foam insulation seals any air gaps, preventing the ingress of windblown snow, rain, dust and unwanted air infiltration and has a vapour permeability that permits the drying out of roof timbers following periods of solar radiation.

WALLTITE insulation is applied between rafters in sloping ceiling areas and loft conversions and is ideal when space is at a premium due to its superior thermal performance. Plasterboard can then be fixed to the rafters.

In applications such as barn conversions the foam spray is dubbed out with a coat of bonding plaster and then finish plaster. Existing structures must be in a good state of repair with no evidence of rain penetration or damp. Defects should be made good prior to installing the product. WALLTITE also reduces airborne noise pollution from air and road traffic.

Wallite Pitched Roof Insulation

WALLTITE spray foam insulation is applied directly to the underside of breathable roofing membrane between timber rafters in tiled or slated pitched roofs. The spray insulation material can be installed to any thickness to achieve preferred u-values and demonstrates an impressively high level of airtightness thereby adding to the systems superior thermal performance.     

WALLTITE has a measured water vapour permeability and so does not compromise the performance of any breathable roof membrane.
WALLTITE is installed by trained and accredited Foam Master contractors using specialist spray foam equipment.   

Certain refurb scenarios may involve a non-breathable roof membrane. A rafter-slide it installed to the underside of the roofing felt to act as a separator between the foam insulation and the felt underside. This allows for a 50mm ventilated airgap as required by building regulations.

Wallite Cavity Wall Insulation 

WALLTITE cavity wall foam insulation is used to reduce the heat loss of existing and new build cavity walls consisting of masonry inner and outer leaf construction. Installed as a liquid through a pattern of 12mm pre-drilled holes it expands within the cavity to gently fill each void eventually setting as a rigid polyurethane high-density insulation. WALLTITE seals the cavity thereby preventing air leakage. The increased airtightness effect adds to the systems already superior thermal performance helping to reduce energy bills and creating a more comfortable living environment.

WALLTITE insulation is also used to restore the structural stability of existing cavity walls in which conventional wall ties have corroded and in new build and reform construction where its resistance to flood water is of importance. WALLTITE stabilises the wall by adhering to the inner surfaces of the cavity and providing a continuous structural connection between the two leaves. It has excellent resistance to driving rain and can be installed in all geographical exposure zones.

WALLTITE foam insulation is spray applied directly between timber studwork onto the OSB at the required thickness. Ordinarily a 25mm cavity will remain between the insulation and vapour control layers to allow for services.

WALLTITE guarantees additional support and stability for the whole of the timber frame construction.
The resulting continuous insulation and air barrier system will provide a cleaner, healthier more comfortable environment. 

WALLTITE Polyurethane spray is hypo allergenic and so contains no fibres or dust and no noxious vapours. BASF WALLTITE is very quickly installed by Foam Master contractors sing specialist  equipment.

Walltite Masonry Wall Insulation - Steel Stud

WALLTITE spray foam insulation can be applied directly onto a solid dry masonry wall, between steel studwork fixed floor to ceiling. This allows for a layer of WALLTITE to remain unbridged by studwork thereby helping to reduce u-values further.

The foam will engage any light steel framework to provide a more solid, secure wall when compared to other insulation methods.

Ordinarily a 25mm cavity will remain between the insulation and vapour control layers to allow for services.   

WALLTITE guarantees additional support and stability for the whole of the wall construction.

The resulting continuous insulation and air barrier system will provide a cleaner, healthier more comfortable environment for any "hard to treat" home situation.

Soffit Insulation - Walltite

WALLTITE spray applied foam insulation can be applied directly to the underside of either concrete or steel hollow rib design, soffit structures.

This rigid polyurethane insulation system is airtight and remains permanently adhered to the substrate even in exposed situations.

BASF WALLTITE spray foam has a thermal conductivity 0.025 W/mk thereby achieving the maximum insulating performance for a given thickness.

Ribbed or waffle shaped soffits can be rapidly, economically and seamlessly insulated and made airtight with WALLTITE foam.

Any penetrations into the soffit such as ceiling or pipe hangers and cable trays can easily be sealed by a WALLTITE application, preventing heat loss and cold spots by thermal bridging.

WALLTITE spray foam is installed by trained and accredited Foam Master contractor using specialist spray machinery and is Class 1 surface spared of flame rated.
